40 Hour Work Week VS Own Income

There are plenty of ways to make an income without working a traditional 40 hour work week. One just has to find their niche and expand through marketing via the internet, word of mouth or simply networking. I have made the trade off and able to live quite well, enjoying more time with the ones I love. The traditional ways of income are also limited to the amount of income one could achieve. Most publicly successful people have achieved their goals through unconventional means and against most advice. The benefits of following one's own heart and dream definitely outreach the money by the amount of quality time available to spend with my children, the joy of doing what I truly like and seeing the happiness it provides others firsthand.

As the years have gone by, I have learned about some products either from word of mouth or experiences; which now, provide me with an edge. On the side, I help make ends meet by braiding and my marketing is free..word of mouth and referrals. The local hair provider even shows support by giving discounts on hair due to my purchasing frequency. By creating this network, I am able to purchase products that is not readily available in the south further defining my uniqueness in this industry.

I enjoy advising my friends/family on relationships, life even their children and Hubpages is a great avenue for me to tell the world my thoughts and beliefs.
